Foggy rainy morning on the ridge. I want to hike 30 miles today. if the rain keeps falling I'll be lucky to do 15 miles. these pennsylvania rocks are very sharp and very slippery when wet

Out of shenandoah

Started shenandoah sunday at 9 in the morning and I'm leavin the northern edge  7 pm on wednesday

Tomorrow will be my last day in shenandoah. every day has been over 25 miles. I've seen more wildlife in this area than any place else on the trail. I had my first encounter with a bear in the wild on my first day in shenandoah. the bear would not leave until I started singing .
